Why does every TV show I watch use Mac computers?

Have you ever noticed that everything on TV that involves computers uses Macs as their computer? Like when you watch a commercial someties when they tell you to go to a website they use safari to show you. And when you watch a movie and someone uses a computer, it's a Mac, like on Sydney white or Nancy drew or whatever. And why do most schools and public places nowadays use Macs? How can they even afford it? They are so expensive! Do you notice these things?

Macintosh actually pays to have their products use and probably also donate or rent them to the movie or show. The product placement iin the movie is a form of advertising and many companies use it. Whenever in a movie you see something and it seems like they are making sure to show you the brand name, they probably are because they get paid for it.

Mac paid a lot of money to have their products on those shows and its working. You notice. And by the way have you seen the size of those monitors. Those are cool. Makes me want a mac, but because I am a computer person and like building them and tweaking them, I choose not to buy a Mac.

Dell rarely ever uses their computers in movies. The only time I have ever seen any brand other than a Mac or an offname brand computer is in Grandmaw's Boy, they use the Dell XPS and in Stay Alive they all have Alienware (rediculously expensive but amazing computers). You might also notice that if it is not a Mac there will be somthing right behind the computer to block you from seeing what it is. In Veronica Mars there was almost always something directly behind her computer so you could not see the top of it.
Macs have GREAT discount if not free programs for educational institutions. Apple may donate the computers to TV shows, or have a contractual agreement, with different shows to display their computers.
I think it is because Mac's are just a better computer. They can do things that PC's can't do and they are safer, as far as security is concerned. They are just a better way to get to the internet. Plus, you never get a pop up with a mac and there is more to do with a mac. Plus. you don't have all of the stuff to do to clean your hard drives at the end of the day-your computer does it for you. I am a Mac addict-can you tell? LOL!
To be honest, It is probably just because Macs are generally very appealing to the eye. Think about it, have you ever seen a Dell as attractive as Mac? Its all about the looks and appearing to be high-tech.
Jen R, is right about the schools. Generally, Apple will give computers to schools who apply for them. And as far as TV, it's advertising, Mac pays to have their computers used in most TV shows and movies. Plus, Macs are just way better than PCs. The user interface is much better.
