Yes, it's possible.

One of the best programmers I met was an English major but did computers after graduating.

Being a programmer in the past myself, math is important, yes. But logic, inquisitiveness and a sense of organization are more important.

I think the bottom-line is that you do what you love. If you find that you love Job X, then you will do well. Good luck.

It is nice that you have passion to join IT industry. First of all, let me say that now a days people should have basic knowledge in using computers. This is called computer literacy. Such people can just use the computers but cannot develop any products which is the requirment in the IT industry. To develop products you need to know basics of programming languages.

IT industry is not alone comprised of programmers as I said above. Software is developed to suit the needs of people in all domains. In that process, if a software is developed for financial purposes (Eg: Accountancy software) then people who have knowledge in commerce are invited to participate in software development to give the domain specific knowledge.

You even said that you do not have maths background. Maths is the basis for all technical subjects. If you want to pursue your career in IT as a developer you need to train yourself as a programmer. If you want to pursue career in IT as a knowledge supplier you are suitable right now to join the industry.
