Need help on computers...?

What is duo core and quad core (in dell)? I saw the pricing for computers, and it looked like duo processors cost more than quad processors. Can someone help me? Also, what is a hard drive partition? Thank you for all your answers in advance.

You won't have an advantage with a quad core processor unless you have software specifically written to take advantage of that feature. It's basically two or four microprocessors in one.

Dells prices must me wonky cause quad cores usually cost more. The difference is the number of cores in the processor in the duo there are two cores which is kinda like having two processors in one, and the quad is like four processors in one, the more cores the more power. Hard drive partitions are when you turn 1 hardrive into two. This is done by splitting it in half and when ever it is connected to the computer it shows itself as two volumes. Hope this helps and see ya
A hard drive partition is when you divide a hard drive into many different sections with a "divider" to where each partition is considered its own hard drive.

You can instal windows 98 on one section %26 windows XP on another and Vista on another instead of having 3 hard drives to do the same
Ok this is how it works. A core 2 DUO processor is two CPU's or processors or "little computer brains" on one dye(thing that processors are on) A core 2 quad is a dye that has 4 processors on it. simple as that. A hard drive partition is pretty much a split in where your hard drive space goes for instance. On a 500gb hard drive 100gb partition might be for movies 100gb would be for back up of data and the other 300gb would be general purpose
duo core is a brand, i think its really called core2duo and its a dual core processor, a quad core... hence the name, means 4 cores in the processor. a hard drive partition is a section of the hard drive, you can have 1 partition, meaning the os, the whole hard drive and if you have 2 partitions, it means that your hard drive is divided in 2.

Why do old computers make a rumbling noise?

Old computers like Windows 95 %26 98 make a weird noise when loading-Does anybody know why they make that noise-Please!

Why do old computers make a rumbling noise?computers

It's the CPU fan which is aging that is making all the noice. Or if you're talking about an electronic sound, then most computers running Windows 95 %26 98 came with internal mono speaker that makes beeping sounds while starting up and so on. But if you're talking about a rumbling noise which is mostly related to vibrations from the casing then it is definitely the CPU fan.

As computers age, dust clogs up the vents making it very difficult for cool air to be blown onto the processor. If more dust clogs up the vents then certainly the fan will makes some kind of rumbling noise because it is struggling to blow cool air through the thick dust.

Why do old computers make a rumbling noise?hijack this

Old computers make noises that are usually due to worn bearings in cooling fans - in the power supply and/or CPU fan. This usually means nothing - noisy bearings might last another year or more before failure. If you vacuum out the dirt, bearing loads will lighten due to better air flow - and your old machine will last longer.

Old computers are noisier even before fan bearing problems. Every moving part makes more noise than modern equivalents do. Hard drive head movements in a modern hard drive make old drives seem like a Mac Truck compared to a Cadillac!

Did they use computers at all when they re-released Cinderella in 1987?

It's for my media studies coursework. I need to talk about CGI and cel/line drawing. I just didn't want to say they don't use computers if they did.

I'm not sure if they use computers on animation at time of 1987, but 1987 is year of my birth. ^,^ I think they did us computers.

I'm not sure, but Cinderella was released on DVD back in October 2005 and now it went back in the vault on January 2008.
Im not sure about the original but I know the DVD released from the vault was, heres what a article said "The film has been in the Disney vault since 1987 and never before released as a DVD. It's gone through a painstaking restoration with the use of state of the art digital technology and looks stunning."

I have three computers and need to connect all of them with wireless connection to my broadband inte

connection. I have a westell 6100 black modem if that helps.

I want a router that is capable of all of the 3 computers, mayb even the desktop being used at the same time with no problem at all.

I dont no a lot about these things so plz give me details thx

Yes you can have 3 comps sharing this connection. When you configure your wireless router (most have instructions or a CD with a wizard to help set them up) and if you are going to secure it, make sure you remember the WEP(which sucks) or WPA key you have configured on the router and just go launch your wireless manager on each computer. it should see the router if it is in range and all you need to do is highlight it and select a connect option. If the router is secured, it will ask you for the key or passphrase enter this and that should be it.

I should have added that as for routers, what can you afford? Go down to your local computer retailer and see what they have. I personally use netgear cause it is easy to set up and moderately priced. Report It

How can I download email from one account on two computers with outlook 2007?

I had one computer with office outlook xp and I was able to receive e-mails fine. I added a second computer on the network and I need to know how I can download e-mails from my Host to both computers. E-mails go to one computer, but not the other. I upgraded officexp to office 2007 and it still does the same thing.

How can I download email from one account on two computers with outlook 2007?ducati

Under advanced options on both compuers, there will be an option to "leave messages on server"

Select that on both computers.

There is also the option to delete after X days... Set it to 2 or 3 days (however long it is between you logging in to BOTH computers...)

This will allow either computer to get the email messages and leave them on the server for the other machine to also pick up.

US & UK iTunes Account Problems - Authorising & De-authorising Computers? All help is apprec

I have just set up a US iTunes Account and whilst setting this account up my UK iTunes Account has been frozen. I had a huge amount of music, etc. which I purchased with this UK Account. I therefore set up a new UK iTunes account. As the old account seems to been frozen I cannot now deauthorise any of the 3 computers with i had authorised, or authorise any new computers so when transferring music to a new computer I will not be able to play the tracks from my original account. My new UK account is working fine but only covers purchases made from today when I set it up. I am slightly concerned (no idea if I should be or not really) that my original UK account seems to have been frozen / disabled by Apple at the same time as setting up the US account, with no notification to me. Please can anyone tell me what may of happened and what i can do? Thanks a lot.

Also try www.youtube.com because chances are there is a video that will answer your question

Good luck :)
