If you are connected to the same network as 3 other computers, can my internet history be looked at?

Lets say there are two computers downstairs and mine is upstairs but on the same network, can the users of the other computers somehow check out my internet history through their computer or would they have to physically come to my computer to check it?

The only possible way this could be happening is if your HD is shared in some way. If that is the case then Yes they can see your Internet History. If your HD is not shared then your fine. Just remember that any folder could be shared so you would need to check the folders in question and see if they are shared on your machine.

the only way they can do that is if you have the internet folder shared on the network. To do that you would have to go to it and click share so unless u did that, youre safe
Yes, however it depends on whether your computer is accessible to the others. There is one network and within this network you are all running on one server. You are all interconnected. If one of the computers upstairs decides to go to My Computer and look through the network he can easily find your folder and basically enter your computer. He can place things on your desktop and delete things as well. He can access your internet favorites and delete them, and he can go to the cookies file on your computer and view all of your history on the net. The best thing to do is to hide your folder from any of them. Try to find a way to access your folder through the network and if you succeed then you need to take security measures. Usually the system administrator can block any access to your folder except for his access. Another technique would be to just delete all of your cookies every time you log on to the net. But all I know is that if there isn't a specific restriction placed on your folder in the network then your computer, files, history can all be altered and viewed by any of the computers on this server. Hope this helps... Anything else please email me...
depends what folders you have shared.
No they can't do it .... They need to log into u'r pc and check u'r browser for History...
Physically at your computer. Only the host or the main computer can acess all three but it is still limited to things like that so relax
sort of is the best answer. The history is save by the user name so unless your on the same user name in botha reas the the histroy is not there, but you can get into the other computers hard drive and pull the history info from there.
