If so... do I just need a router the computers will be right next to each other. Thanks!
Can I connect two computers to my broadband connection if one is a Mac and one is a PC?virus protection
Yes you can. A router what you need to use. Right now I have two Mac's (one hardwired and one wireless) and one wireless PC sharing the same broadband connection. There weren't any kind of special set-up. Follow the connection set-up for each computer and things will be fine.
Can I connect two computers to my broadband connection if one is a Mac and one is a PC?agv
Yes, I am almost positive that will work. My cousin just plugged him a broadband cable into the router for his Mac, and it worked immediately. In fact, I think it's easier to share Internet between Macs than between PC's.
You'll need a router in order to get both computers online. Routers are OS independant, so they'll be able to take care of the demands of both systems.
Yes all you need is a router and thats it
the router and cable modem cpould care less if you are running 2 pcs a pc and a mac , a pc and linux, or any other combanation.
Just plug the cable modem to the router and the computers to the router.
Just take a loot at the manual for the router and go through the setup of the router and you will be good to go
Actually, MACs and PCs utilize two separate network protocols. I know you can't simply plug and play both computers onto the same network without installing a utility that will allow the two to talk to each other. MACs use PPP and PCs use TCP/IP.
the Mac is notebook/laptop ,isn't it???
I think it's ok,because
Mac is OS(Operating System)
