Is there any softwear that can make computers network machines work together?

Hi

i have a question, just for curiousity, is there any softwear that can make a computers connected to the same network to work together, lets say that i have a simulation that require a very strong PC, that i dont have , but that softweare can divide the tasks on the computers connected to the same net, and make them working together , so by this way we can do our simulation faster, does anybody have any idea about it,

Thx

"Don't ask" suggests that we use Mosix.

However, Mosix is a Linux program.

Is there a similar program for Windows?

Mosix will do what you want.
yes this is possible depending on your program... its called distributed computing and some programs have a plug-in sort of thing that lets you do that
It's complicated but can often by done.
yopu can start with spell check? Its called windows, and create a LAN, heck you probably staring at it.
