Can people on other computers on my wireless network see my browsing history?

I live in a shared house and we use a wireless network to get the internet. Is it possible for people on other computers in the house to use the network to view my internet browsing history? I have a firewall if that helps?

Unless you have set up file sharing - no they can't. However, if they are really good - it is possible - you are on the same network. Just delete your browsing history before logging off each time.

By you saying 'Shared House' I presume you are a student which tells me that a number of other people in your house could be quite proficient with PC's!

Its quite easy to view files (including browsing history) on another computer within the same network, while using a firewall, however this is usually easier if the target PC is running XP Pro rather than XP Home due to a number of admin rights. Make sure that you are not giving ANY admin shares on your hard drives. to check:

Right Click each hard drive within My Computer, Click on 'Sharing and Security...', make sure it is not set as Shared with the letter drive and a dollar sign next to it i.e. C$ - Default Share. If this is the case then any user can access your hard drive using admin rights. Just put a bullet point in the 'Do not share this folder'.
