ok right, i know about computers but just average stuff like internet and things...

can anyone give me some examples of software that you need on a computer for use in a business? I have microsoft word package and Norton AntiVirus.

It's for my IT homework!

More than Wod you need a complete office package, instead of Norton you need a good light antivirus. There is also SAP for some companies. A good accounting package is needed for inventory and payroll. Some companies run their own mail and data servers.

Deep freeze it freezes the computer so you cant ad any files its used in schools and businesses, norton commander, total commander, foxexe.
you probably want a microsoft office for all the other essentials. And I find QuickBooks is nice for doing your taxes.
Depends on the business. If you're a graphic designer, you need photoshop and other photo editing software. If you make web pages, you need an html editor. There's a ton of software out there.
