Currently i`m in Japan and my digital camera is pretty full.
I was wondering if I were to upload my pictures onto a japanese CD and take it back home, would I be able to
download them onto my American computer ? My computers

Yes, either you'll end up with a CD full of JPGs or something called a Kodak Picture CD. Either way there pretty standard and your computer / local printing place shouldn't have a problem viewing them.
