I have recently upgraded all of my computers, or eaither purchased new ones. But i have two old comps that i really don't want to get rid of. One is a Emachines T1090, and here is its specs:

900 MHz Intel Celeron Processor

256 MB ram (Maxed Out)

20 GB HD

Internet Connectivity

DVD Rom

Windows XP Home Edition

The other one's specs are as folows

Compaq 5000 ( I think)

933 MHz Pentimum 3 Processor

Any advice on what to do with them?

I would sell the computer on Ebay or remove all the hardware and sell it on ebay....... Well, its not worth much but im pretty sure you can get atleast $100.....

You can make a firewall with it....

You can get a tax wright off if you donate them to a school/church/goodwill store. A school or tech school where they have computer classes.

They are not worth anything really. They are too dated.
After i got my new computer, I kept my old one set up because it has an A drive, a zip drive and all the reg drives too. Plus I have negative/slide scanner hooked up to it. I had lots of stuff stored on A diskettes and zip disks. One of my old computers I took to our summer place. One I gave to some poor kids.
Definately the best thing to do is strip the hardware from them. I'm a packrat with hardware. Just strip it all off, and maybe later you can use all of the ram or hardrives on a better motherboard and make another computer with it. Its worked out well for me in the past
take them to a recycle center
Why don't you want to get rid of them? Clearly theyre of no use to you... No use to most people with those specs.
