Is there a way to connect two computers and have them run as 1?

I would like to connect to computers and have them share proccesors memory and everything. I basicaly want to make towo computers run as one. is this possible?

This is a pretty big challenge. You basically want to create a two computer cluster. I don't know how you would do this with Windows, but with Linux or another free Unix you would have to install operating systems or software to do this. There might be software that runs on top of Windows to do this. Google 'cluster' and see what you find.



Generally, you would only use this for heavy duty computing tasks.

you could probably do this if you have a program to connect them as one and have share resources and programs like a load sharing thing or active standy configuration.

i think that it is not possible with windows.



But with windows through remote desktop option we can access the other computer (ie) both the monitor will shows the same things but the control is only from the connecting computer.
its called "grid computing" and is not really possible under Windows.



There are no benefits to grid computing at this point for a home user as no software exists to take advantage of it.



Grid computing is mostly used for number crunching and either require a different operating system (UNIX Linux) or custom software.
