i have 2 computers at home and i was wondering if i can connect them together only through phone line . i don't want to use LAN or anything else . just with phone line . please help .

the only way would be if you have two physical phone lines in your home, let's say phone number 555-1111 and 555-1112. Plug each pc's modem, using your phone cord, into one of these. Now they are physically capable of connecting to one another - you just need a program to do it, such as pcAnywhere by Symantec. you can do a search of other 'remote control' or 'remote file transfer' programs, looking for any that still support dial-up connections.

yes you can using modems and just a single wire and you have to use the AT%26T commands on both computers ope the communication port on the first and answer on the second

No u cant as it needs to have a router to work both computers simultaneously if that's what you are looking for, and a router needs a broadband.
