How do you go about having 2 computers at home in different rooms?

How do I connect the 2 computers so both can be used at same time. They are in different rooms so I am thinking I would have to join them with leads (which is not a good idea) as there would be wires/cables etc. lying on the floor making for a very messy arrangement. can someone please let me know as I want to purchase another computer, so to use at same time when necessary, but I don't want all the cables etc. lying arround. Thanks

Buy a router box and connect it to your main pc..................Then follow the instuctions how to set it up and you should have internet on both PCs....................

Well, there are routers which are wireless. One good one that works for most of the computers is Wireless-g 2.3 GHz Broadband Router 54 Mbps Linksys, although you need to buy a wireless card, so the router can work. The wireless card is for all routers though.

You need a wireless router and a wireless adapter. Go to any computer store and talk to a technician about how to do it. It is really quite simple and could involve just connecting the devices to the computers and giving your wireless network a name. The only wires involved would be what you need to connect to your ISP (internet service provider), most likely just a short cable.
You need a wireless router, and a wirless card or USB wireless adapter for your 2nd computer.
