i am looking for a way to send a message to the other computers at my house in my network



how can i do this



a program



is there a way for free?

Right click my computer, select manage.



Right click Shared Folders, then select all tasks



Then select send console message.....



If you know the users name or computer name, add it to the recipients list to text them!

Depends on the operating systems of all the computers. But assuming you are using SOME version of windows open up the command counsel. Start %26gt; run %26gt; type "cmd" and hit enter. After this type net view and make SURE you can see all those computers on the network. If you can type "net send %26lt;ip address%26gt;" put in the ip of the computer you want to send to. If you want to send to all the computers on the network type "net send *" after that message (before hitting enter) type the message you want to appear in quotation marks. That should do it.

Go to the command prompt and type in NET SEND * Hello



The asterisk means "all" on the network will get the message popup "Hello" If you put in a specific computer name or IP with the message then only they will receive the message.



This is a simple and inexpensive way to send messages over a network.
