Why are humans so much better translators than Computers?

As as a computer can beat any person in mathmatics, it doesn't stand a chance as far as translation goes.

A normal human bilingual is several orders smarter in this respect than computers are.

Does it have something to do with Computers can think at Superhuman speeds, but don't have the ability to reason.

Computers are programed to do a specified formula which, unless guided it will not try to research it, while the computers can be more efficient than humans, humans are still smarter and are not programmed! Humans might be slower but life experience makes them more sophisticated and smarter!

language is very dependent on the context of the words and computers cant deal with that and with decisions
Humans are better at translations because they understand the intricacies of language, unlike computers that can only translate exact words. For the same reasons computers are better at math, because math is absolute.
Humans have been around much longer than computers.
Sentences in different languages don't have the same structure, a computer is currently unable to re-order the words correctly.
computers have neither head nor heart
You have to remember: Without humans, what use is a computer? Nothing.
i think nothing is smarter than a computer.
maybe cos computers are smart, but they have no imagination. They translate too litteraly.
Computers can do a lot of things, but they do not have the capacity for emotions such as: empathy, compassion, sadness, happy, or feel excitement. A human can convey those emotions in any language.
