On a normal computer, your C drive is your "hard drive", which basically is a hard copy of everything on your computer. It's about the size of a hard-back book, but can store millions and millions of files. They are stored in the form of data. Data, at it's very core, is just a bunch of '0's and '1's. A sequence of eight of these 0s or 1s represents something like a letter, a symbol, etc. Eventually these can turn into documents, programs, and other more complex files that help the computer run. On the other hand, your D drive is usually the main CD or DVD on your computer. When you put a CD or DVD in your computer, your computer searches the D drive for information. It can do this by using a extremely small laser inside the CD player to read what it says (once again in the language of 0s and 1s). From this it can obtain information similarly as it does from a hard drive, as long as the disc spins.

I'm not too sure they really "worked" together. It was more like Steve Jobs stealing technology from Xerox, which was in turn stolen by Bill Gates. Then Bill Gates beat Jobs to the PC market with Windows.

Now if those two great minds did in fact work together throughout recent computer history, then I don't think we would have come as far as we have. Them going in separate directions paved the way for a much more diverse industry, instead of building on the same technology and ideas, which would have kept computer technology more streamlined.

There may be more open source or OS/2 might be the OS of choice. The industry may not of grown as it has if they were working together, and someone else might be running some other software/hardware company that rides on the thin edge of being a monopoly.

If both still programmed today, I don't think anything will be different. Since the 80's, programming knowledge %26 stuff in the computer world has been in steady decline. (Which makes me believe that human intelligence as a whole has been going downhill since the end of the 80's.)

Read the EULA, the long legal document that pops up when you install. Odds are that Microsoft will own your soul if you try it, but if you don't register on the second installation and don't ask for technical support you may get away with it. Or at least that works for most other software...
Surely u can buy one Vista Cd and upgrade them to several PCs. But dont make copy of Vista as it will be piracy. Upgrade vista to more than 1 but by original cd of VISTA.
The answer is NO!!!!!! each computer needs to have its own CD key. if you use the same key for multiple computers when you activate the OS with microsoft they will see you have it on more than 1 computer. you may sneak by for a while but if they catch you the fine is 10,000.00 and they get to pull all versions of Vista from your house. that is because you violated the user agreement. when companies install multiple copies of software they buy permission to have that right. but they pay per block of CDkeys. You will be playing with fire for trying it, but then again plenty of people do it all the time without getting caught. it's up to you if you want to take the chance.I only know 1 person you got caught, but he was 15 so they could not fine him for it.

Connect to internet using computer wired computer and the wireless computer will share internet access. You will not need software.

Right click Shared Folders, then select all tasks

Then select send console message.....

Depends on the operating systems of all the computers. But assuming you are using SOME version of windows open up the command counsel. Start %26gt; run %26gt; type "cmd" and hit enter. After this type net view and make SURE you can see all those computers on the network. If you can type "net send %26lt;ip address%26gt;" put in the ip of the computer you want to send to. If you want to send to all the computers on the network type "net send *" after that message (before hitting enter) type the message you want to appear in quotation marks. That should do it.

The asterisk means "all" on the network will get the message popup "Hello" If you put in a specific computer name or IP with the message then only they will receive the message.

Each motherboard has to have independent processor(s) and memory to operate. PSU, hard drive(s), sound and video cards are optional.

You can run 5+ motherboards off a floppy version of *nix, though.
You need to create a home network if you wanna control 2 motherboards. You can then remotely assess the other computers in your network and control them.

Compaq is a type of HP. But to answer your question compaqs are a little on the slow side, they are decent computers for there costs. HPs are nice but they are designed weird. Go for the HP I have never had a dell before I have no idea what they are like.

they both work really well and i would drop hp. but other then that i would go with dell or compaq.
If you are buying a desktop computer then if your budget is between $500-$1000... then buy a compaq... but just make sure that your graphics card has more than a 64mb dedicated memory (this will mean better graphics when playing games) This is not RAM or Hard disk space -- this is graphics memory so don't confuse these things... =)
