Well! First make sure you hav lan cards on both the computers, then connect them using a lan cable on the backside of the computer on the ethernet port.

Next,

If you are Using Windows:

Open Control Panel %26gt; Network Connections

Right click on the icon showing 'Local Area Connection' and click on Properties

Select TCP/IP on the list of items and click on Properties

Select 'Use the following IP Address'

Enter as follows:

IP address: 169.169.169.168

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway: 169.169.169.168

Preffered DNS Server: 222.222.222.222

Alternate DNS Server: (Leave blank)

Do this on the other machine:

IP Address: 169.169.169.167

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway: 169.169.169.167

Preferred DNS Server: 222.222.222.222

Alternate DNS Server: (Leave blank)

Click Ok

Click on 'Set up a home or small Office Network' in 'Network Tasks' (left side)

A wizard will open

Click next

Click next

Select the third option
