I have 2 computers, only 1 has internet?

hi,

i have 2 computers in my room but only 1 has internet connection, if i use a usb cable to connect the 2 pcs together and do internet config on pc without internet will the pc be able to have internet by just networking the 2 pcs together with a usb cable? i heard u can but want other opinions

all you need is a router or call you internet provider and ask for wireless ... you can keep LAN for one PC and have wireless for the other one ... but if you get a router, make sure the firewall is con fig with the servs you already have, I work for TWC and I'm in tech support, you'll be surprised how many call we get a day just because of that reason alone

You need to buy whats called...a router

look into it.
If the router is full, get a bigger one.more ports on it.
connect the two pcs via network caple or usb..then go to network connection on control panel (on the pc that don't have internet) and create new connection from the options chose setup small home network...then chose option connect to internet through another computer...read the rest of steps its easly
First I think your computer is plugged into a wall jack. With SBC, you get a modem. Then the modem plugs into your computer. With a router, like a Netgear Router, you can create a wireless connection between your two computers. If your second computer is a laptop, then go to Internet connections and there should be a list of all the wireless connections in the area around you. If it is a Desktop, they might come with wireless built in. But if it doesn't, then you have to buy a USB Flash Drive looking thing. It acts like a wireless card. From that USB, you can connect to your router. Routers can sometimes be expensive depending if you want it to be a fast connection or the connection to go far away. If you live in a house or apartment, i suggest you get a cheap one because you will leave the computer in the building. I have the website for Netgear. Hope I have been of assistance
You need a cross-over network cable for this, or a router to connect both machines directly to the internet. The router is easier and faster.
The router is full? maybe other people (neighbors) are using your router without your knowledge. Try setting up a password for your router. Then maybe it won't be full and the computer without internet can use it.
