Why arent my computers speakers working?

my computers speakers arent working... everything is plugged in, and they work with my ipod so i know there now blown, but no sound is coming out. i tried to plug them into the headphone plug, but that doesnt work either. in sounds and audio devices it says "no audio device" they were just working yesturday

Try restarting or turning off your computer first.



Then a system restore if that does not help.



If the system restore does not help then:



Go to Start %26gt; Right Click on My Computer %26gt; Click on properties and from there go to the section where your hardware is listed.



Look for your Sound and Audio Device.



Check to see its not disabled or if its yellow and has like a question mark (?) beside it.



Download or install the drivers for it.



Your computer should have come with a Restore CD(s) should you ever need to format your hard drive and install Windows or something related to your computer.



If not go to the manufacturer's website and download the drivers.

i had a similar problem the other day, system restore sorted it out. click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools, and then system restore and restore to the nearest restore point
Most likely you have a driver issue. Did the speakers come with any software?? Another think you could try to do is change your computer's audio output method to the speakers if this didn't already happen.
