What is duo core and quad core (in dell)? I saw the pricing for computers, and it looked like duo processors cost more than quad processors. Can someone help me? Also, what is a hard drive partition? Thank you for all your answers in advance.

Dells prices must me wonky cause quad cores usually cost more. The difference is the number of cores in the processor in the duo there are two cores which is kinda like having two processors in one, and the quad is like four processors in one, the more cores the more power. Hard drive partitions are when you turn 1 hardrive into two. This is done by splitting it in half and when ever it is connected to the computer it shows itself as two volumes. Ok this is how it works. A core 2 DUO processor is two CPU's or processors or "little computer brains" on one dye(thing that processors are on) A core 2 quad is a dye that has 4 processors on it. simple as that. A hard drive partition is pretty much a split in where your hard drive space goes for instance. On a 500gb hard drive 100gb partition might be for movies 100gb would be for back up of data and the other 300gb would be general purpose
duo core is a brand, i think its really called core2duo and its a dual core processor, a quad core... hence the name, means 4 cores in the processor. a hard drive partition is a section of the hard drive, you can have 1 partition, meaning the os, the whole hard drive and if you have 2 partitions, it means that your hard drive is divided in 2.

Yes you can have 3 comps sharing this connection. When you configure your wireless router (most have instructions or a CD with a wizard to help set them up) and if you are going to secure it, make sure you remember the WEP(which sucks) or WPA key you have configured on the router and just go launch your wireless manager on each computer. it should see the router if it is in range and all you need to do is highlight it and select a connect option. If the router is secured, it will ask you for the key or passphrase enter this and that should be it.

Under advanced options on both compuers, there will be an option to "leave messages on server"

Select that on both computers.

There is also the option to delete after X days... Set it to 2 or 3 days (however long it is between you logging in to BOTH computers...)

This will allow either computer to get the email messages and leave them on the server for the other machine to also pick up.

I have just set up a US iTunes Account and whilst setting this account up my UK iTunes Account has been frozen. I had a huge amount of music, etc. which I purchased with this UK Account. I therefore set up a new UK iTunes account. As the old account seems to been frozen I cannot now deauthorise any of the 3 computers with i had authorised, or authorise any new computers so when transferring music to a new computer I will not be able to play the tracks from my original account. My new UK account is working fine but only covers purchases made from today when I set it up. I am slightly concerned (no idea if I should be or not really) that my original UK account seems to have been frozen / disabled by Apple at the same time as setting up the US account, with no notification to me. This is a stupid question, I know. If I was to purchase a copy of Win XP could I use it on more than one computer? We have multiple computers at my home. I would hate to have to buy a copy for each. I read somewhere that you could only use it once? We run XP and have had to pay someone to reinstall and it gets expensive. I thought to save time and money it would be a better investment to just buy it. Also if you may know is Linux any better? I have found it is much cheaper but I have never used it. No, it is not possible since after you install XP to the computer, you will either need to call Microsoft or your computer will automatically connect to Microsoft to verfiy each computer/licence before they allow you to use XP on it. And once they know you have the same copy on Win XP on multiple computer, they will disable that copy of XP.

Most likely you have a driver issue. Did the speakers come with any software?? Another think you could try to do is change your computer's audio output method to the speakers if this didn't already happen.

If you are sharing the same router:

On the computer where the program resides, right click on the C drive and select "share this drive".

You should be able to see that drive on the other computer under "My Network Places".

This usually works but there are softwares that won't let the program be shared.
Depending upon what you want to do. If you want to have the capability for two people to work on the same database/program at the same time, you will need a separate program that will enable you to do that. If you just want to share the program and be able to access it from another computer, then a simple networking will do.
You may need to get in contact with the maker of that program. They probably have a network license. You cant legally run the program on both computers, unless it specifically states that you can. You would also need to contact them to see if the program can be simultaneously ran at the same time.
You can do it only it the software supports network use. You'll have to install the program on both PC but the database that your software uses will have to be shared. Both computers will have to point to the same database file. But like I mentionned earlier that's only if the software handles network use.

Walmart supercenters carry a few. I have two supercenters within my area, and both have a few emachines systems.

Best buy might carry a few, depending on your store.

Technically, Emachines is owned by gateway, so you can always get a gateway computer - they're better.

Acer computers are pretty good. I was thinking about buying one myself. You can get internet, word processing, watch movies, burn CDs and DVDs. They work as well as any other computer. They are also great if you don't want to spend a ton on money. And if you want to ever increase the hard drive, RAM, get new software, etc. you can always do that.

You need to establish a network, either with wires or wireless. There are wireless internet kits that you can find in places like radioshack, Sam's club, etc.

According to Microsoft you can only have one license per computer. You would have to order another one(NOT THE WHOLE DISK..just the license) through them. BUT...who listens to Microsoft. Personally i would just go ahead and install it on all three of your computers. If you want to cover your behind go to the link below and input your license to see if you can get another one. I repeat you don't need to buy three copies of windows for the three computers...just three licenses.

As for loading your copy only one time is not true. You can use your copy to re-image your computer as many times as you want.
First, you need to understand that SP2 is something that was added to windows XP. If your computers already have windows XP on it, you will just need one CD that install SP2 and use it on your three computers. If this is the case, you could just download sp2 and not need any cds (unless you're on dialup).
